Quality Control

Beaver's Testing Facilities were installed to carry out testing of imported rated materials. For Beaver Brands (Beaver) to maintain its place in the market based on quality items, tests had to be carried out continuously. Rated materials being imported covered items such as chain, hooks, head rings, slings, tie-downs and similar equipment. All of which have to be batch tested to ensure that the quality is acceptable to Beaver.

Beaver being conscious of the need to have recognition of its testing facilities arranged for Beaver's Testing facility to be accredited by NATA (National Association of Testing Authorities) in 1993 and is audited regularly by this organisation to ensure ongoing accreditation and compliance.

As a NATA accredited test facility, Beaver conforms to National Testing criteria which ensures customers receive quality service that is backed by one of the largest testing authorities in Australia with International recognition. All items tested under Beaver's NATA accredited facility are tested to the appropriate Australian Standard or NATA accreditation requirements.

All work is carried out in accordance with relevant Australian Standards.

In 2004 a decision was made to develop a range of industrial height safety products that could be manufactured by Beaver and sold into the market. This required development of designs in regard to styles and types of harnesses requiring hardware from outside sources, which could be used to manufacture products from the designs.

On completion of the product designs a test program was put in place so that the products could be tested to the requirements of the Australian and New Zealand standard 1891.1. During this period Beaver Brands premises were inspected by GlobalMark and developed a recording system for the factory that enabled Beaver to maintain licencing with GlobalMark.

All harnesses that were required had jig boards made to ensure consistency and conformity during manufacture. The development of this product required the development of an in-house testing system for dynamically testing the harnesses. Beaver uses this in-house testing system to conduct NATA accredited tests of Industrial Safety Harnesses in accordance with AS/NZS 1891.1
